Vol 2 Issue 8 July 2010 Greeting All The summer has not slowed down the NATO Vet Org in growing. Phase 3 –“organizing” is going on now till September .The emphasis now is regionally – with the provinces and territories. Each Region is at a different stage and Doug Brunton and his Deputy Gerry Bryan are working with and for each region. We will have our AGM on Oct 2 – electronically – with the 300 that are not yet on Email being contacted by Canada Post. Phase 4 will be the recruiting /advertising period until we reach the agreed upon 2000 figure – hopefully early in New Year. Then we will be discussing and proposing where NAATO Vet Org goes from there. We are a growing “only veterans” –really only Post Korean War veterans organization. Why? Alas the demographics means that there are fewer WW2 members – or Korean War. These post Korean War serving members and veterans need a Voice – one voice – and the voice should come from veterans. This will evolve – how yet is uncertain – but “one voice” has to happen. For NATO Veterans Organization to participate in this, our organization has to first you will agree get organized –to “get in position” and “have depth of numbers”.
